We choose this subject because we are, all of three fan of music games, we are in an association that make Music game event in Bretagne! It was evident for us to make the site about this! We know music games since five years now, and we spend a lot of time on them !
That's why we want to share you our passion and we hope you'll enjoy it as we do.

The aim of this game is pretty simple, you are on a dance platform and you hit colored arrow with you feet coordinating to the music! To make a high score, you have to time your steps well! If you reach the end of the song, you will be attributed a mark, between AAA / AA / A / B / C / D / E, this mark depend on the accuracy you hit the pattern, there is different judgment : PERFECT / GREAT / ALMOST / BOO. This game have been created in 1998 in Japan, we can find many variations of this game, for example, a game named Stepmania, here the aim is exactly the same as DDR, but you play with finger on your keyboard. The game evolve as new song's pack, each years, many new "mix" are created for DDR, with every time new songs to play! This game have a huge life time! This game is almost a good partner for diet programs, if you play one hour non stop on the pad, you'll be as tired as if you had runned during this time!

There is many players of this game, every year, a tournament take place to determinate the world best player! We can find during those tournament two different type of dancing, one called "score" where the aim is to make a maximum of points, the other called "style" where the player try to make the best dance as he can, using his body, costume... is less amazing but a lot more pretty to look!

Gameplay

The main playfield consists of vertical columns, with seven columns corresponding to each of the seven keys and a final eighth column for the turntable. When the game begins, horizontal bars (known as "notes") fall through these columns, and the player must press the correct key (or spin the turntable) when the corresponding note reaches a line at the bottom of the column. The correct timings for the notes follow the beat of the music, so the player must have a very keen sense of rhythm. Every time a key is pressed or the turntable is spun, a sound is played. If the game is being played flawlessly, the sequence of keysounds produces a complete song. If the player makes errors, the song does not sound like it should. So, to hear the song correctly, the player must correctly time their presses. The game also displays a timing judgment rating on-screen every time a key is pressed. From best to worst, these ratings are "Perfect Great" (or "Just Great"), "Great," "Good," "Bad," and "Poor" (for out of turn presses or missed notes).

Modifiers available during song selection can make a song easier to play (Auto-Scratch, 5-key, Hi-Speed, Easy), change the note chart entirely (Mirror, various forms of Random), or make the song harder (such as the "HARD" modifier which removes the 80% requirement, but fails the player when the Groove Gauge reaches 0%). Songs are rated on a scale of 1-12 on 4 difficulties, Beginner (on home versions), Normal, Hyper, and Another, in 7-key and 14-key (double) modes.

This game, as his name tell it, makes you feel like a rock star, the best rocks songs will don't have any secrets, even the solos will be a child's game for the new rock star you'll becoming!

On guitar hero, you've got evidently a guitar, with 5 buttons on the sleeve ( instead of 6 chords for a real one ), and another one on the corpse!On the screen will be scrolling little circle determinate by 5 colors that will point out which button of the guitar you'll have to push!On some guitar you have a vibrato too!It work as a real guitar, where it tight the cords, and change the sound of your guitar! On the game it makes you earn more point if you use it well!
This game have been created in 2005 in United States, there is many different version that have been emerged, adding new songs!

With the first version of guitar hero, you could only play on a Play station 2, now it's a multi-platform game, you can buy it for X box, PS3, PC, Nintendo DS, Wii... Since this guitar hero have been created, there is over 15 Millions game that have been sold, it seduce a lot of teenagers players, aswell as older one! As you reached harder level, you will learn new skill that will permit you to don't scratch chords every time, called « Hammer-on » and « pull-off » known by most real guitar players, it permit you to play faster and then reached again a higher level! There is a sort of bonus called Star power!When you had fill in the Star power bar by getting special note represent by star, you can pull up you guitar and it activate a bonus point for few seconds!This bonus can determinate the winner of the song if it's well used!

When we speak about music video games, there is the dance of course, the instruments but also the singing, I'm speaking about Singstar game ! Coming from Karaoke, the aim is to affront a person on one or many songs. But there is many variations like group singing, pass the microphone and many others How to play it ? It's quite simply, the clip and lyrics on the song you've choose is displayed on the screen, for each words or each syllable is allocated one bloc at different height. The higher the bloc is, the higher your voice must be. If we sing right, the bloc fill in with a color and the player win more points.

The Singstar series is divided on many DVD of different style which regroup more than 30 tubes each. To date, there is over 26 DVDs, it offer a large panel of differents songs style. Indeed it's possible with newest playstation to download many tubes legally thanks to Singstore. So it's a funny and celebrity game, perfect for animate a party, no matter your age, it always bring a lot of ambience in the group. This game was developed by London Studio and was adapted for SONY platform, his first apparition date from may 2004. It have been sold over 17 millions times over the world. Further it exist a open-source version which is called UltraStar, but this one work only with Computer.
